Our Founder
Megan Loh, an avid Girl Scout and Stanford University undergraduate from California, has been a STEM enthusiast since elementary school. She has been a lead instructor for STEMup4Youth since middle school and has seen firsthand how girls, especially the underprivileged and minorities, face the gender stereotypes of the tech industry.
Hoping to make a change, she founded a coding club in 2015 for her Girl Scouts Silver Project to bring computer programming to under-served girls. Soon, she turned her club into the non-profit organization of GEARup4Youth, through which she brings interactive robotics and STEM programs to under-served communities.
